I've been busy today but busy in a good way! Busy doing art! I feel so refreshed and charged up after what felt like FOREVER with out doing any art! lol. 6 whole days!
I painted the 'vintage christmas postcard' that I have used here as a background (yes I know...late!) I chose fruit because once apon a time children woke to fruit in their stockings not flash toys and the like. I was telling my 3 this recently but they were sure I was joking!
I made 6 of these (pink circle) altered playing card New Year resolution tags that will be hitting the post soon as RRAK's and RAK's..the reverse is blank for the recipents to add their resolutions and embellishments.
I also made my funky little ART DOLL! She has a broken overall's(dungarees?) buckle for her main body and I've used gold paper splits and silver paper clips and recycled fabric for the arms, legs and dress.
Her head is one of those glass beads often used in mosaic's with the Queen of Spades face glued to the back of it. I quite like this doll! It's the first time I have made a doll like this and she's on her way to Australia as soon I figure out what to call her. The doll's are supposed to arrive at their new homes with a short autobiography...I can see how these doll's can become an addictive hobby!
I also made a tip in page for a fellow artists pink journal..the kids were a little worried when I started melting the remnants of pink birthday candles all over my page...but rest assured I didn't burn a thing! It'S being flattened between 2 heavy books at the moment:)
and...last but not least I finished my tag and 2 page spread in another artist's 'Springtime in Paris' themed paper bag book. Ok, nearly finished- it's drying as I type.
It's been a great day!
Thankyou to everyone who has commented on my Billy Apple tribute..I am going to reply in the comments section as soon as this has posted. I really appreciate all of your feed back and thoughts!

Love this! The paperclip doll is very expressively standing (considering she is made of paperclips) and looks almost as though she could start dancing.

You know how to make up for lost time and how exciting it must have been to get your hands working and dirty again. Yay!
I love the doll and especially love that her face is the Queen of Spades.
I like your palette - your browns and greens.
May I link your blog?
