I came across this great idea the other day via the 'not mass produced' blog and it is such a great idea I have to share it! Please check out the 1000 Birds Project and find out how you can buy a sweet wee bird and support Japan at the same time.
Another great idea I stumbled across is this one. The First International Signature Swap. The book kind, not the autograph that is! Submissions are due September 20 so there is still loads of time. You will need to make 11 signatures (unbound) consisting of 2 sheets of paper (4 pages) and in return you recieve 10 back from random artists around the world. The 11th signature becomes part of an exhibition/competition and the winner recieves ALL of the signatures from the exhibition! More details on the website.
