Back home!

Hi all, yes we're back home! Finally !My daughters surgery went well although complications afterwards meant we had to stay a week instead of 4 days but after what felt like the longest week of our lives we're back home. Miss 10 will be on bed rest for some time though!

I couldn't help but notice the shameful waste that goes on at hospitals, nearly everything is thrown after it's first use and there's a lot of plastic heading for the land fill and even paper...it saddens me that when we are sick or injured we create so much waste we make our planet sick too..don't get me started on the polystyrene cups, plastic food containers and energy use! My daughter was of course my main focus and while I appreciate the need for hygiene and safety there's got to be a better solution than throwing things away. There's just such a lot of waste!
I collected bits and pieces as usual and I feel a piling coming on...

Thankyou Sweet Irene, Bev, John, Bobbie, Shani, Neda, Frances, Mick and Andrea for your wonderfully warm wishes. It is nice to know my blogging buddies were thinking of us and sending 'get well' vibes. I am sure the chocolate kisses wrapped in sunshine, the guardian angels and warm thoughts helped get us home!

Welcome home to you and Miss 10. Just think, while away and unprotected, I never got into one lick of trouble! :)

Good thing that you and the girl are home again safely. Great to hear it and I am assuming that all is well considering the circumstances?

Take good care of her and yourself and good luck. We'll be thinking about you.

Glad everything went well. I think it is a painful proceedure - make sure you get all the best painkillers. Kick up a fuss if necessary.

I remember the look on my son's face, and this was just a relatively minor op. But now it is a distant memory and it has all been worth it.x
