Title: Peace Bird
Medium: Acrylic on paper
I'm on a role! After been stuck for a few days I painted this on in just over and hour. These are my more 'natural' colours, the ones I lean towards. I stopped using them for a while and decided to give them a go again. As soon as they hit the paper I knew this painting was going to work. Unfortunatley the depth and tones don't photograph well, there is actually a lot going on in the 'sail' shaped piece that dosn't show here (and the bottom left corner) but I really love the earthiness of them and I feel satisfied with the result!

The background looks a bit like ceramics to me, and the blue colours lend the piece the feeling of peace and calm. The shiny surfaces and natural colours give the feeling of looking into a calm lake. This is a peaceful bird in a peaceful environment!
