The Black and White Zine's online!

The wonderful Alicia from Altered Bits deserves a medal for putting together another wonderful Zine. You may remember the sneak peak of my entry that I posted about a month ago. The Black and White Zine is now on Yudu and on Alicia's blog. Please go and check out the zine and the art from artists who wer!e lucky enough to be able to take part. Alicia has done a great job
This is the front and back of my submission. Created using 2 old book signtatures as the base I am not quite sure if it is a pile or a collage! I went back to my original nest concept...of society being a nest, which you can read about in the zine if you wish!
Also online is the TLC Xpress Newsletter for which I have written an article about blogging...it's called To blog or Not to blog so please go and check it out here. My article also features the work of John Mora and Mick Mather....thanks to both of them for allowing me to borrow their images!

Creativity Day

I attended a creativity course yesterday which was run by The Learning Connexion and hosted at the Tauranga Art Gallery. I enjoyed meeting other students from the same art course as I am on. studying extra-mural has meant I've missed that contact for the most part (that's ok though....I have you guys...awwww.) Most of the attendee's were either new students or people considering artistic study and I am at the other end of the scale having just about completed my diploma. Most people were learning what makes them buzz and how to communicate that with paint (and later 3d) where I'm fortunate enough to already know where my heart/head lays artistically speaking. I think the day confirmed for me that I am on the right track with my art at the moment and I like where I am at. Maybe a little too much, I am fairly comfortable at the moment! Anyway...here's a few pics from the event.

TLC exhibition.

I was pleased to find my work featured in this exhibition slideshow. I am sure you will recognise it easily enough! I am yet to find out if it sold or not. I've had a good day at a TLC creativity workshop. Will post more about that soon!
