So..what inspires me...hmmm. Well, I feel like I am pretty in tune with what inspires me. Birds, nests, trees and leaves! Flower buds, seed pods, bare branches, feathers, bark, moss...sometimes I wonder if I wasn't really meant to be a bird and not a human! Bear with me now while I tell you about yesterday. Just after lunch I decided to take my camera to Yatton park to see what was new. I have to confess I have been a bit of a winter snob. Autumn is ofcourse the best season (in my not-so-humble opinion) and winter has been a cold and wet necessity to get to Spring (the second best season...ofcourse!) Summer...well it's long and hot which makes for great beach photos and time with friends and family. Yes, we do consider Summer to be hot in NZ! lol. All things are relative! So back to my walk. I was in need of a wander under some trees my heart tuned into the birds and the sights and sounds of winter turning into spring. The first tree to capture my attention was an "I-don't-know-what-it-is-tree." I could see it was breaking out into flower and I thought it would be an early magnolia. This is what I found when I got closer...
PS: Tomorrow is the big DIS-CO reveal day...I hope you will come back to play "Lucky Dip" with me! All shall be revealed tomorrow!

All beautiful, Lisa. Although, it's your "winter" that I'm especially curious about. Just how cold does it get where you are? I've been looking at maps of New Zealand for a few weeks and am fascinated with some of the tiny, offshore islands that are west and north of you. I'm trying to find a way to have spring and summer for the rest of my life ... that means spending 6 months of each year below the equator somewhere.
The photos are lovely, Lisa. Good for you for going out and taking them. I never think of things like that. I am a lazy photographer. I must use my camera more often. You just may be an inspiration to me.
Lisa - your inspirations were certainly worth waiting for - lovely stuff - thank you for taking part.
I am looking forward to the reveal on Seths blog tomorrow and am posting my own "bundle revisited" at 9 am in the morning.
I loved your inspirations Lisa, I missed it on the 31st!! So many to read. The top is a Magnolia Stellata, the middle a Judas Tree (I have both) but I don't know the bottom one! Maybe some kind of fruit blossom? I am inspired by nature in all its beauty too.
nicely done
