I'm in Nest Loving Heaven!!!

I am so excited! As most of you know I love birds and today I not only got the privelege of being this close to baby birds...in a nest!!..I was also blessed enough to get photos! It was funny how it worked out actually, I had no plans to go out today let alone end up perched (excuse the pun!) up a ladder taking photos of baby birds in a nest! It all started with a text from DH telling me he'd found an old nest and if I wanted it I'd better come and get it as the tree it was in was about to get felled for next winters firewood...so I got the kids in the car, instinctively grabbed my camera and went off to rescue the nest! On my way down I saw the work van go past so I followed it up the road and ended up at a friends house....who just happened to mention this nest when I explained what I was up too. This wasn't the nest DH text me about, which for the record was actually so old it was unable to be salvaged. Nice the way it worked out though isn't it!? Nice really is an understatement!
Moments like these call for celebration...so I decided that this was a sign for me to launch my new nest inspired photo series, my first attempt at an artistic photo series. You can see it at my new blog- Nest Eggs and the series is called "Nature Lines." This is YOUR invitation so please come along and see where a year of nests has led me...

The little birds are so adorable and vulnerable and you got such a good shot of them. Lucky you for being there at he right time. The other nest pictures are great too. Nice photography.

I'm back and so excited to be greeted by these sweet little faces.

I'll have to check out your nest blog.

I see some lovely images below the Kowhai in black and white are amazing. They do look like jellyfish. The NZ Silver Fern and Berries are extraordinary in their black and white values. Also love your colorful paintbrushes.

So much catching up to do.
