Mosaic at the grout stage!
Well all the cutting and gluing is done! I am happy with it for the most part.
It's not the greatest mosaic you will ever see but it's been fun to make and it's going to look good in the garden!
It's ready for grouting here and as you can from the pics below it got a dose of grout after this photo was taken. My kids took the ones below (I would have been in BIG trouble if I had chosen only one childs photo, hence the 2. I'm not being vain! Honest!) of me in action so to speak. Once the mosaic has been touched up and cleaned properly I'll post a pic of the completed work.
I got beaten back by the sun today...27 degrees I am told and the grout drys far to quickly in that heat!

Oh, this will just look lovely in your summer garden - the composition, everything will fit so perfectly there - quite elegant.
Some people put mirrors in their gardens in the States.
Congrats, and very King Solomon of you not to split the photo-baby.
congratulations! you must be really patient to do this :). I think it will look awsome in the garden! soon we'll start taking care of our garden too...
This is a lovely mosaic. You show much application to do things like this, as some of it looks very fiddly and there are some tiny pieces in those two squares either side of the top. My husband made our mosaic surface for our bathroom, and though it was very simple it took a long time. I think for the border we gave up and bought a printed mosaic pattern!
I think it's very relaxing what you do.
Terrific, it turned out very well and you can be proud of yourself. I am sure it will look very nice in your garden. What a lot of patience you had to make that!
It looks great! I'm jealous - I've always wanted to do that (but always moved away from my gardens before getting to it). You are a many-talented dynamo, Lisa - wonderful to see you in those earlier pics, hard at work :-)
I really like the way this mosaic is turning out. It is a very happy and joyful piece and I think it will look really wonderful in your garden. Plant a few zinnias around :)
